Protection Training Solutions is a recognized leader in firearms training for armed security professionals. Our programs exceed Georgia state requirements, ensuring that students receive advanced instruction and real-world preparation. Participants will develop tactical shooting skills including: shooting on the move, utilizing cover, addressing malfunctions, tactical and combat reloads, close-quarters engagements, failure drills, and transitioning between multiple threats. We are committed to equipping our students with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to respond effectively to the unexpected.  Students must possess a valid State Weapons Carry Permit prior to attending this course. In Georgia, a Weapons Carry License can be obtained through your County Probate Court. Please allow 2 to 6 weeks for the required background check and processing. Carry licenses issued by states with reciprocity agreements with Georgia will also be accepted. Armed Guard Certification Requirements: To qualify as an Armed Security Guard, you must first complete the 24-hour Unarmed Security Guard Training or provide a copy of your valid Unarmed Certification for training records. Training Requirements: - 24 Hours of Unarmed Security Training (per Georgia Board Rule 509-03-.02) - 15 Hours of Armed Security Training (per Georgia Board Rule 509-03-.03) All training must be conducted by a State-Certified, Licensed Instructor in accordance with Georgia state regulations. Elijah McCall is a State Certified Instructor, License# FAI-000168 and also holds a Georgia POST Firearms Instructor Certification and has serves in the roll of Range Master. What Protection Training Solutions Provides: - Armed Guard Certificate of Completion - Firearms Qualification Form - Weapons Permit Training Information Form Next Steps for the Student: Submit the provided documents to your employer. Your employer, as a licensed Georgia Security Agency, is responsible for completing and submitting the application through the Secretary of State’s GOALS system. Retain copies of your Certificate of Completion, Firearms Qualification Form, and Weapons Permit Training Information Form for your personal records. Ensure that the Weapons Permit Training Information Form is properly notarized. This course was created to provide handgun training and qualifications, in accordance with Rule 509-3-.10 Handgun Training, Board Rule 509-4-.01 and the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agency state mandated requirements. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of the Use of Deadly Force, Liability and proper Handgun Selection in accordance with O.C.G.A 16-3-21, 17-4-20, Title 42, USC Sec. 1983 and the State Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies.
